2008-09-09 New online pilots training night

IVAO UK are organising a training night aimed at pilots new to online flying, and those who would like more experience in phraseology and the basics of using IvAp.

The training session will be fairly informal and will consist of a VFR flight from Glasgow (EGPF) to Edinburgh (EGPH) to allow pilots to gain confidence in communication with online controllers, and to brush up on phraseology.

The training session will take place on Thursday 18 September 2008, commencing at 1800Z (1900 local UK time) at Glasgow, with departure approximately 20 mins later, following introductions and briefings.

No booking is necessary but to get some idea of numbers, it would be useful if any pilots who are intending to take part would drop a line to Neil Boulton, e-mail gb-ta7@ivao.aero or announce their intentions in the GB Training Forum.

In addition, IVAO UK have published a VFR pilot guide as an aid to flying in UK airspace. This can be found at: http://ivao.co.uk/pilot/vfr.html
