London Area Control Centre Policy

LACC is divided into six sectors; S2 (EGTT_CTR), S9 (EGTS_CTR) S11 (EGTM_CTR), S26 (EGTL_CTR), S5 (EGTS_NTH_CTR), S6 (EGTS_STH_CTR)

S2, S9, S11 and S26 may be opened in any order.

London West

For the purpose of the policy, "London West" refers to the S9, S5 and S6 group of sectors.

S9 (EGTS_CTR) is known as the "master" sector and shall be the first sector of London West to be opened. When online, if there are no other sectors manned, S9 will provide a band boxed coverage to the entire London West area (S9, S5, S6). The order in which sectors must be opened, is as follows:

  1. S9 (EGTS_CTR)
  2. S5 (EGTS_NTH_CTR)
  3. S6 (EGTS_STH_CTR)

When S9 is online, he provides bandboxed coverage to the S9, S5 and S6 areas.

When S9 and S5 are online, S9 controls the S9 area and S5 provides bandboxed coverage to the S5 and S6 area.

When S9, S5 and S6 are online, they provide coverage to the respective areas.
