London AC - Sector 26

Description

Sector, known as Clacton, 26 is extremely busy due to the arrival flow via LOGAN. This sector will talk to almost every aircraft arriving in the UK from Europe.

S26 operates on a 8.33 KHz frequency. Aircraft which are not 8.33 equipped may not enter the sector.

Primary filter: SFC-UNL / Secondary filter: SFC-UNL

Conflict settings: 8nm* / 900ft (8nm is set to give advance warning of conflicts. Minimum separation is 5nm.)

Range: 130nm centred on EGSS

Bandboxing

Sector 26 is the very last AC position to open, it doesn't band box with any other AC Sector. It can only be opened with approval from GB ATC OPS

Coordination

Westbound flow

When Maastricht is closed the agreements remain valid and traffic will be transferred from Brussels ACC and Amsterdam ACC.

Eastbound flow

Eindhoven (EHEH) and Rotterdam (EHRD) arrivals will briefly penetrate TC REDFA Sector and should be co-ordinated. Aircraft should not be transferred to TC REDFA unless required for separation.
